Originally from Rome/Syracuse, NY. Lived in Las Cruces, NM for 30+ years and since 1996 in the house I built on 1.3 Acres. Home is in city but a somewhat country feel. Retired Engineer and US Army. Wife is a retired Educator. In 2018 for retirement, we bought Winnebago Revel conversion van. Have have 90+K Miles on van. Revel has been close to the highest point in many states, we have "climbed" 42 high points. We are active with Scouts, Search and Rescue, mountaineering, canoe/kayak, ski/snowshoe, and enjoy just about any outdoor activity.

We had a very peaceful night's rest at Ranger Bruce's. His garden is amazing! In the moonlight, the tumbled glass gravel sparkles, and our dog loved walking on the paths. First time we used a home extension cord adapter for our 30 amp, but it ran our little plug-in electric bathroom heater and kept our phones charged fine. We all sat around the next AM & swapped stories. Great resting stay!

A great spot in La Cruses. close to everything but far enough away to not feel busy, we would stay here again no problem.

Nice level spot in a neighborhood! No issues, Bruce and his wife were very kind and helped us find a nice dinner spot! Only thing, the dogs across the street bark frequently during the night so make sure you have some sound to drown them out.
