Originally from Rome/Syracuse, NY. Lived in Las Cruces, NM for 30+ years and since 1996 in the house I built on 1.3 Acres. Home is in city but a somewhat country feel. Retired Engineer and US Army. Wife is a retired Educator. In 2018 for retirement, we bought Winnebago Revel conversion van. Have have 90+K Miles on van. Revel has been close to the highest point in many states, we have "climbed" 42 high points. We are active with Scouts, Search and Rescue, mountaineering, canoe/kayak, ski/snowshoe, and enjoy just about any outdoor activity.

My stay at Ranger Bruce's house was fantastic! From the warm welcome by Ranger Bruce and his wife to the convenient proximity to White Sands National Park, everything was perfect. I highly recommend this cozy retreat for anyone visiting the area.

Bruce met us when we arrived and asked us if we need anything. Nice place to park our sprinter. He let me a much-needed Allen wrench so I could do a quick repair him and his wife are very helpful. Great people!

Bruce welcomed us when we arrived and showed us where to park. The spot is perfect for an overnight stay, 30A and water hookup for $5. Neighborhood is quiet. Its a little tricky to back into if you have a big rig (we’re 36ft) but doable with someone guiding you. We would stay here again. Thanks again Bruce!
