Rassicot Farm is an 80-acre hobby farm in Wheatley River, PEI, Canada. It's home at times to horses, cows, pigs, a few Pygmy goats, and a small flock of chickens, with hay fields & pasture, and a beautiful stream that runs through the property. There is no wifi, washroom, or kitchen facilities at this time. The water has not been tested for drinking. Electricity is available from a standard residential outlet & extension cord. We board and raise horses for a variety of disciplines, we grow hay and may have a small garden, and we raise chickens to produce eggs, as well as a couple of cows & pigs for beef/pork for our family/friends. Important: The farm is not entirely pet-friendly… so please ask & I’ll be happy to discuss the details with you further. Our barn cats, goat, chickens and dog do have free range of the farm at various times of day. They are all friendly towards humans but the barn cats are NOT friendly to unknown dogs who approach the barn. Start-up Horse / Hobby Farmers in Beautiful PEI Canada Details: Hi Boondockers! I'm Stephanie and I live in beautiful Prince Edward Island, Canada. We purchased our farm a couple of years ago and we have 80-acres of organic farmland where we grow hay & raise Hanoverian horses. In addition to the farm, I work full-time as an HR Manager in the city and my husband owns/operates a lawn care and landscaping business. We have a wonderful young son, and are very blessed to have both sets of grandparents now living in the area! We spend a lot of time outdoors - as you might expect - and (in our limited spare time) we enjoy camping, hiking, going to the beaches & boardwalks, relaxing bonfires, horseback riding, golfing, and spending time with our family & friends (new & old). nice and level spot to park, right beside the paddock and nice view of rolling pasture if we did a short walk. we were also permitted to park on the edge if the pasture if we wanted but the spot by the paddock had electricity. We arrived mid afternoon and the instructions on where to park were easy to follow. The hosts were both at work but the young son was a great host. The driveway is a farm lane at the bottom of a valley and is not easy to see. we were there in dry weather and had no trouble with driving up the not very steep hill to the barn yard. We have a 20' couples trailer and it was fine. might be tricky for a big rig to make the corner into the driveway and leaving the driveway

We had a great stay at Rassicot. Our hosts were delightful and really made our stay special with walks around their property and introductions to their animals. Our small poodle cross met there large one and they got along famously. The chickens were very entertaining. Beautiful spot with 15 amp electrical connection. The road coming in is PEI red dirt, but east to navigate if you take your time. We would love to visit Stephanie, Shawn and Max again.

a beautiful spot centrally located. they took time to help fill our water tank and even let us hook up to power. the animals were all so sweet and Stephanie’s dad Peter talked to us a lot about the history of the area and the culture now. thank you Stephanie, Peter and Jill!!
