We are situated on a river which is part of the Catawba River Chain - just below the Mountain Island Dam. We do have 1 dog that roams our 3 acres. Aussie Doodle - friendly. He will bark upon arrival but he is just saying hello. Friendly. Does well with other dogs and likes to play. We also have a cat that roams our property. If your dog doesn't like cats or tends to chase them, please leave them on leash. Otherwise, your dog can go off leash. We are located near the Charlotte Airport and the Whitewater Center. We are 20 minutes from downtown/uptown Charlotte, NC. Suggested Local Attractions: Whitewater Center Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens Discovery Place (downtown Charlotte and also Huntersville (for kids), NC) Different areas of Charlotte featuring many breweries and art galleries

This is a beautiful location, easy to pull in and out of with a big rig, and the hosts just couldn't be nicer! If you are passing through the Charlotte, NC area, stop in and spend some time relaxing with Judy and Dave on their dock next to the river. Judy and Dave have a wealth of information they are willing to share from their many years of RVing and traveling the world.

Judy and Dave are incredible people, hands down one of the best stays i have ever had! The property is close to amenities but tucked away that it feels so secluded. Their dog, River, is such a sweetheart and became best friends with my pup. i would def return next time im in Charlotte! Thank you, Jude and Dave, for your amazing conversation and kindness!

Beautiful acreage and riverview. Great spot for dogs to let lose. Host were friendly and very imfromative. Electric hookup was a plus to keep the refrigerator operating at its peak. Make sure to follow his directions very helpful. Hope to stop back on our next trip. Sail on captian⛵️⛵️

These are amazing hosts who sat and visited with us into the evening on their riverfront dock. They were so hospitable, friendly and down to earth. We hope to stop by again on a future trip.
