We're across the river from Knoxville in Tennessee. We are 2-3 hours from Smoky Mountain National Park, one hour from Dollywood and the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge area. Suggested Local Attractions: Not far from the Smoky Mountains. There's a public boat ramp about 1/2 mile north of our house; the Tennessee River curves around our little peninsula. About an hour from Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg and access to the Smoky Mountains.

House Rules
No smoking of any kind at all. Please be considerate of us and our neighbors: clean up after pets, don't leave any trash, and don't make noise after 10:00 pm. If you're letting your dog run around in our backyard, that's fine but be sure to pick up any poop, dispose of it in your own trash can, and don't use the backyard after 9:30 pm or before 6:30 am as it'll get our dog barking and we like to sleep.

Access Road Conditions: It's a curvy residential paved road all the way. There is no way to turn around in the driveway; it's pull in/back out. No hookups are available at this time. The driveway doesn't get much sun in the afternoon. Unfortunately the driveway is not level nor is the road in front of my house. Our driveway is most level near the road. My guess is the driveway is a 25-degree angle. No trees, no wires to worry about. Honestly, it's not an ideal spot because it's not level, but there are so few places around here to stay for free we thought we'd go ahead and offer our property.

Home Town: Friendsville, TN Favorite Boondocking Locations: We haven't boondocked yet, but we're thinking seriously about it. Skills or Expertise to Share: Hm. We know a lot about English grammar, literary analysis, and history... Bruce is an MMA teacher and a long-distance runner. In addition to English, I speak Spanish, Bruce speaks Spanish and German... Oh—and we know a lot about the ketogenic diet.

This was a very quiet place to stay and the hosts were wonderful. We had a great conversation with them and very much enjoyed our stay.

Bruce and Melissa great hosts, very accommodating. I had a visit with them and will stay with them again when I travel through the area.
