House Rules

This is a quiet farming area; discrete behavior is important. This is a no smoking/vaping location. Pets are welcome but must be on a leash and accompanied by the owners when outside. Excessive barking must be discouraged. Please pick up after your pets! Be aware that Tennessee is a leash law state, it is a class C misdemeanor to let dogs roam. This is a rarely used 60 foot by 750 foot property entrance with a creek crossing, which is gated at the back and will be in the front soon. You may freely walk this entrance including with leashed pets, but the farm beyond may only be entered with express permission; pets are never allowed outside of the entrance area even when permission to enter the farm has been granted. The open carry of weapons is not permitted on this property entrance and no weapons of any kind may be carried onto the farm. Remember this basic farm rule: Always leave a gate just as you found it. If it was closed, close it, etc. Be aware that this farm including the entrances are covered by game and security cameras due to a trespassing issue we deal with occasionally. There is a private pond on the farm that may be fished with express permission only, and which has it's own set of rules: Barbless hook fishing only except for children 9 years or younger! You can pinch the barb closed on your tackle with pliers. NO live bait! Until June 1st of 2025, all Largemouth Bass must be immediately released. You may keep one Bluegill over 7 inches per person in your camping unit per day, all others must be immediately released. Do not damage released fish by hook removal or excessive handling. Cut the line and leave the hook if necessary to avoid damage. Children may use a #6 Aberdeen (long shank) hook for Bluegills, Adults and children 10 yrs or older must use a #4 Aberdeen hook. There is a camera on this pond always recording activity, so please adhere to the rules so we can continue to allow controlled access. There is a notepad and tools in the boathouse for recording the species, length, and weight of the fish you keep. You may pet the horse if she comes to you, but do not go after her. Do not go any further west then the edge of the pond. There are no Bulls on this property and the cattle are friendly to those they know, but please, make no effort to pet them as they will be afraid of those they don't know, though they will be curious. NEVER, EVER make gestures of a nature to try to scare the cattle or any other animals. Don't yell at them. If you're afraid of the cattle, then you don't need to be asking to go on the farm.

Location

There is no electric available at the Black Creek Road entrance which is the one pictured. We have a second entrance which is steep with a tight turn where only shorter units of 26 feet or less can get into which has 30A electric. The Black Creek area is a 24.5 foot wide back-in entrance for larger Class A and towed trailers. Turn around is possible for smaller towed vehicles. The distance between the posts is 24.5 feet. Though the surface is grass, it is an old gravel road bed and is solid. This area can be very wet in the winter months and into early spring.

Got directions with approval. Driveway number was not posted on the road. Granted,it was dark when we arrived. We ended up going on a driveway and parking in a field which is what we expected. But got a visit from a woman who was his sister and we were on her property. She was nice and let us stay. She said her brother was out of town lot. We would not recommend this location.

The field was pretty much standing water when we got there so we found a close by KOA. The host’s description states the ground can get soft and it had been raining. The host never communicated with me other than to approve our stay request. Would have been nice to know we needed to make other arrangements before we got there but maybe the host isn’t on site or monitoring it. Sorry that I didn’t think to take a picture to share. My mindset went straight into finding another place to stay.
