I am a solo fulltime camper traveling the Lewis and Clark Trail in an 18 foot long van conversion. I have solar and water on board and can manage without hookups. Ruby’s Place is a large ranch bordering Clark Fork River. I was met by the man of the house and he led me on his ATV, offering various locations for me to camp overnight. My van is small enough to allow me to get to a beautiful spot alongside the Clark Fork River. He told me I could build a fire, which I did, and he told me to look out for eagles, which I did, and I was lucky to see one flying along the river. It landed on a tree above me. There is a nesting pair that visit every year. I visited in June 2022, and stayed for one night. I would love to visit again.

This site was very easy to get to off of I 90. The site was level, and beautiful. There was a nice walk to the river. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. What a wonderful place to stay. Wish we could’ve spent more time there.
