Rustic River Retreat is our riverfront home on the Pascagoula River in Escatawpa Mississippi. We provide a paved driveway parking spot with access to 30amp power, city water & sewer. Fishing, kayaking, canoeing, s’mores by the fire, and a grill can be available. Casinos are within 20 miles. Multiple Golf Courses located nearby. Off shore fishing and shrimping are located in Ocean Springs. World famous seafood, alligator and boiled crawfish are local favorites. Beaches are a short drive away. If you are looking for something we haven’t listed, just ask, we are locals and love where we live in South Mississippi.

Location
The parking area is 10’x40’ and is grass on one side, our driveway on the other. The electric & water hookups are on the grass side. The grass lot is 20x25 and provides for a nice area for outdoor cooking, sitting under the shade tree or around the provided fire pit (we have plenty of firewood). There is parking for your tow vehicle in our adjacent lot. Access roads are paved and have drainage ditches on both sides. There is a vacant lot across the street that makes it very easy to back into our spot as long as it hasn’t been raining(neighbor does not like ruts in his yard) There is no turnaround as the road is a dead end. Turnarounds will require backing up. Turning into the spot can be tricky with a long rig due to the ditch, power pole and mailbox. See pictures. If you have questions we are happy to answer but are unable to back other's rigs in or out.

l am a recently retired teacher who is excited to spend time traveling with my husband of 25 years. He retired from the Army in 2013 after 20 years of service to our Country. We are professional pet/house sitters and use our 16' Freedom Deluxe, Casita Travel Trailer between sits. Our son is in the Coast Guard and is stationed in New Haven, CT. When not traveling, we home base out of one of our Airbnb's on the the Mississippi Gulf Coast or his house in CT. We love to travel, meet people, experience new adventures and live life. Our new journey as hosts has us excited to meet new people and learn of their adventures! Un endroit paisible et charmant comme dans notre rêve. Chuck et sa conjointe sont des gens accueillant, gentil et généreux. Nous avons quitté les lieux avec regret pour continuer notre road-trip. Nous allons garder de beau et bon moment. Nous avons hâte à notre prochaine visite.

Lovely host offering waterfront camping. Generous and thoughtful. Very glad we chose to stay with her; would definitely encourage this place as an overnight site!

Chuck & Michelle were probably two of the best hosts I’ve ever met. SO accommodating. SO inviting. I think I just timed it right as far as availability. They Air B&B the house on the property as well. Right on the Pascagoula River. They allowed me to park my campervan so that my doors faced the water… about 40 feet away! Would love to come back some day.

Great little place on the river. Watched a beautiful sunset from the dock. Quiet road that was great for walking the dogs. Never met our host as they were traveling, but communication with them was wonderful! Felt very welcomed.

We spend very good time at Michelle and Chuck 's spot near the river. It's so beautiful and they are so great people. Thank you for everything, you make our road trip amazing!
