We are just a few miles from the Wisconsin Dells overlooking the Baraboo Ridge. We have space with electric (15 amp) and water hook up and we are just a few miles from a dump station. We are on 25 acres of land with walking paths where you can take your dogs off leash. Mirror Lake State Park is less than 5 miles and Devils' Lake State Park is about 15 miles. This is a big vacation area in the Midwest and we have a lovely place for folks to stay for a day or two. We are exactly half way between Minneapolis/St Paul, MN and Chicago IL. For those of you traveling with small children, please be aware that we have a decorative pond in our back yard that is over 3 feet deep, so you will need to keep a constant eye on your little guys. Sorry, but we cannot accommodate Class A Rigs. Suggested Local Attractions: Wisconsin Dells Water Parks and Amusement Parks, Circus World Museum, House on the Rock, International Crane Foundation. Mirror Lake State Park and Devils Lake State Parks are great for hiking and fishing, Taliesen (Frank Lloyd Wright Home), American Players Theatre.

Happily Retired, looking forward to meeting new people both at our home and theirs. Boondockers Welcome seems a great way to accomplish that. Details: Both retired for the last 11 years. Dick is very handy at fixing things and has the tools and equipment to do so. Jaye is a birdwatcher and happy traveling around looking for birds where ever they may be . We have two wonderful Golden Retrievers that play well with other dogs and are good with kids. We have traveled extensively both in our careers and in our retirement and are looking forward to more adventures. We are interested in hearing what other people have done and where they have been. Home Town: Lake Delton, Wisconsin, originally from St Paul, Minnesota. Favorite Boondocking Locations: Alaska, Yukon, British Columbia. Quebec, all of the Maritimes and eastern Canada. In the lower 48 we are mostly in State Parks, unless we luck into some BLM land and National Forest Service Land. Skills or Expertise to Share: Widely traveled around the US and Canada. Dick is very handy and can fix almost anything (excluding electrical stuff). Jaye is adequate with a computer, a fair cook and a reasonably good photographer.

Jaye and Dick are very good hosts, made sure we had all we needed to setup, and later invited us into their lovely home for tea/coffee, and a delightful chat about travel, birds , family , etc. The grounds are spacious, with a large sitting area around a pond. It is well away from the road, so quiet, except for a twinkly windchime and nature. The location is close to Wisconsin Dells, and Baraboo, home of Circus World Museum. We really enjoyed our stay, despite rain the whole time.

Jaye and Dick were gracious and kind hosts. They gave us our choice of two spots and even ran an electric cable for our use. They were both delightful to talk with; we chatted with them for over an hour in their place over coffee and tea. We hope to stay with them again in the future.

The pie home and grounds are beautiful and Dick and Jake are sweet. We were not able to complete our stay because they only had 15 amps available on a breaker and we needed 30 to power our air conditioning. We need it, not so much for us, but for our 2 Shiba Inus that needed to stay in their kennel while we wandered the Dells with our granddaughter. It was so hot that we had no choice but to leave and find other accommodations. Be aware, if you need 30 amps of power, they will not be able to meet that need. Otherwise, a very beautiful location.

Dick and Jaye have been nothing but absolutely wonderful to our family and we are grateful to have made such wonderful friends. Everything about this location is magical and we will return every chance we get. We are now in Florida and missing them dearly. The impact they have left on our lives was more than anything I could have ever expected from a host on this site. They are really the ultimate hosts and best people to know.
