We had two wonderful nights at Shawns place. Quiet and lovely. Close to trails, scenery and saw deer, wild turkeys, a swan, geese and rabbits on our walk by the lake. Highly recommended! Thanks for everything.

We booked another place in Shipshewana and never heard back. We contacted this location and the host got right back to us. Nice quiet location to get a good nights sleep, plenty of space to walk the dog. Will probably be back on our next trip to Iowa. Next time plan it so the town of Shipshewana it open! (nothing is open on Sundays)

we booked for several days but ended up having to leave early due to a pet emergency. It was easy to find. The host was very communicative. Beautiful location on a lake. Quite private. But also local enough that we were able to order a pizza for dinner! our only issue was with the water hook up. It was a good ways away from where we were able to park. so we used the Host’s hooked up hose. I installed a water filter at the source, before the hose. we let it run for a bit before connecting. But I did not account for what could’ve been in the hose itself. We didn’t realize it was an issue until I grabbed a gallon of water for tank treatment and saw a lot of large slimy debris floating in the water. Not sure what it was, but we’d already filled our freshwater tank, and therefore contaminated our otherwise sanitized system. I should have known better. we are normally very careful about how we collect water; I wasn’t thinking. Other than that, it was a great spot!

when i became a host the BW was only supposed to charge $5-$15. I didn’t see that he charged $20 a night. i was so surprized. i think BW / HH should look iinto this.

Our Host responded quickly to messages and made sure we had a nice level parking spot. Very quiet; great location.
