If you are looking for a quiet retreat to spend a few days, this is it. We are located halfway between Jasper and Cullman, Alabama. This is about 45 minutes from I-65 in Cullman or 45 minutes from I-22 in Jasper, AL. We live on thirteen wooded acres. Two and a half acres are high on the cliff with a water view of Smith Lake. We have two possible places to stay. The first one is in our half-circle gravel driveway. This has access to a 30 or 50-amp service with water. (It also has a view of the water. There is no sewer access. The second place is a gravel road in the woods, but it has no electrical or water access. You could use your generator if you were parked in this spot.

My husband and I live in a rural setting about an hour and a half northwest of Birmingham, Alabama (on Lewis Smith Lake). We have been married 47 years. We have camped off and on our entire married life; except for the past six years. Our goal is to take at least one trip in the summer for four to six weeks. We have three grown children and seven grandchildren. The young lady in our profile is our oldest granddaughter. This was taken Memorial weekend of 2022 at her graduation party. We consider ourselves to be active seniors. We go to Florida in the winter and play on senior softball teams. My husband loves to play shuffleboard. I am still working, but my job is extremely flexible. I teach computer applications online for two different universities. We look forward to the experience of traveling again. Best wishes! MJ
