  • Same Day Requests

    No

Please Note: Due to difficulties with the turning radius to access our property we are implementing the following length restrictions: Class A - any size, towing a car only (no trailers) 5th Wheel - up to 36' Travel Trailer - up to 32' Larger vehicles, please make sure you read the Parking Instructions! Availability: Our stay calendar reflects our current availability. Our reservation window is set for 24 hours notice and open 30 days out. We really wish we could accommodate all requests, but have limited space and often travel ourselves. We are not willing to "hold dates" outside the reservation window. You can expect a response to requests within 24 hours UNLESS we are traveling and then we will respond as soon as we are able. Thanks for understanding. We have an acre of property about 20 miles south of Seattle. You will be parking on a gravel driveway next to tall redwood trees. We have 30 amp electric and water available. (Note: We are actually in the East Hill of Kent, the map in the profile is way off.) From this location you can easily visit Seattle or Tacoma and take day trips to Mt. Rainier or Olympic National Parks. There's a linear 7-mile paved trail just 1/4 mile from the house. Plenty of shopping close by too.

Location

We have a U-shaped driveway. One side and the parking area is gravel. The other driveway is concrete. We recommend entering on the west side (gravel driveway) and parking next to the redwood trees and lawn. Separate tow vehicle parking is available. There is space to turn around smaller vehicles, larger rigs can exit out the concrete driveway without needing to turn around. It isn't easy to see our house numbers so look for our garage (red/white trim) with our Class A (white/red) parked next to it. I'll also try to have a "Boondockers Welcome" sign by the road. If you have a longer vehicle, especially a travel trailer or 5th-wheel, we suggest entering the gravel driveway from the opposite lane (approach from the east) to give you a larger turning radius. (See picture in profile: Red line in the satellite view of property.)

Hello!! We are excited to be Boondockers Welcome members and hosts. After retiring in 2015, we upgraded from a travel trailer to a 33' Class A National Tropi-Cal. We spent a year on the road (July 2016-July 2017) and try to spend several months each year traveling in our RV with our English Mastiffs, Riley and Raney. Our favorite campsites are scenic boondocking spots. Our home is on an acre of property about 20 miles south of Seattle. Since camping options near the city are extremely limited, we decided to become BW hosts. We look forward to meeting fellow RVers and maybe sharing a happy hour or two. :) Want to learn more about us, the big dogs, our rig or our travels? We've kept a travel blog since our 2016 year on the road adventure. There are static pages with info about us and lots of posts with fun pictures of our travels. We are here for the second time, for another concert, this time in Edmonds. I agree completely with the comments below that Roger and Teddi set the bar extremely high. They are the best hosts ever and their place is lovely!

We had a wonderful stay at Roger and Teddi's. Their place was convenient to head downtown for a concert and to meet friends. It was very easy to access and the driveway is circular so there is not need to back up. Teddi and Roger were very friendly and helpful! We will definitely plan a return trip. Thanks so much!!!

Teddi and Rog were amazing hosts. Kind and generous. I had a peaceful stay while at their place, and they made me feel right at home. Although this is my first BW experience, I can’t imagine it will be easily topped! Even after all the additional amenities (which they wouldnt take any money for), they offered to let me stay an additional night! Wow! Thank you!!!!

Parking was level and easy, and the location felt private even though it was in a populated area. I appreciated the electric hookups as well as the nearby school to take my dog on walks. And if you don't mind walking, there is a coffee stand about 20 mins away. :)

Parking at this location was super easy. The U shape driveway allows you to pull in, set up, and leave without any backing up! The hosts are very welcoming and provided a sheet with local things to do and wifi! There was a walking trail close by and the house was 30 minutes outside of Seattle. Theres even a park and ride close by to catch a bus into the city. Very convenient and great stay!
