A simple gravel pad in the heart of our abandoned Quarry in Meadows of Dan, VA. Half a mile to the Dan River, two miles to the Blue Ridge Parkway, three miles to Mabry Mill, and 15 minutes to Villa Appalachia, Chateau Morisette, and other attractions along the Parkway. No hookups on-site, but generators are welcome. Water is available in Meadows of Dan at either gas station, and a dump stations are available at the MoD Campground and at Rocky Knob, just 10 miles up the Parkway.

Location
On a gravel road, 200 yd off the main highway. Gravel pad has a level area of about 50 x 50, plus about a 20 foot sloped approach, so there should be plenty of room to get turned around, parked, and leveled.

We loved The Quarry! So unique, beautiful stone walls, the host was extremely helpful to us, and responded so very quickly and graciously! Beautiful sunshine at the site... we hope to return!

Pretty special place right off the road. Easy to access. Just keep going. It’s not as inaccessible as it first seems. Loved it!
