As of 2019, I am still at the farm. I no longer farm so there are no farm animals here, but you are welcome to come to have a place to stay. My spot is not available for large RVs unless you are great at backing it up in tight space or you don't need hookup's then there is plenty of room if we haven't had too much rain. Suggested Local Attractions:An hour from Greensboro, NC. An hour from Raleigh/Cary/Durham. Thirty minutes from Sanford. We are known for the famous fruit cake factory, Southern Supreme. They offer tours. We have lots of farms to tour with People's First Tourism. There is City Tap Dancing/Bar in Pittsboro as well as the Local Brewery. There are some vineyards to tour. Close to Carrboro and Chapel Hill that is always hopping! (about 30 minutes from both). Lots of great restaurants and home of Aunt Bee's grave. 30 minutes from Jordan Lake, and other good parks for trails.

House Rules
I have a dog and as long as your pet is friendly, pets are ok. Due to living on a highway, I recommend keeping your pet on a leash.
Location
Access Road Conditions: My house is directly off the highway. I've lost my spot for easy pull in for large RV's. If it is dry and you don't need hookup's there's a field you can pull in easily if you have a large RV. For smaller RV's, the area for a hookup will require you to back in. The driveway is gravel up to the top of the hill. That's why I changed it to smaller RV's. Again, if you don't need hookup and it's dry, you can park in the field easily. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: You can park it next to your rig. There's plenty of room to park it.

I have been working on my van for about a year just during my down time at work. I'm waiting until my youngest is out of school then plan on a journey of my lifetime of hiking all over America. I enjoy boonedocking because I can still meet people and be connected with people all over the USA. At this stage, I'm taking off when I can as far as I can go with the days off that I have. I'm a 'hike it one time only' kind of trail hiker and I keep having to go farther because I've ran out of hikes close to home! Home Town: My home town is a small rural farming community. Most people are very friendly and always helpful. We are close to bigger towns that offer shopping, restaurants, and other recreational things. I've hosted many people on my farm and have really enjoyed all their traveling stories which keeps me motivated to get on out there! I travel with Boo Boo. He loves to travel as much as I do. His favorite head tilting words are "Hike, Park and let's go for a ride". Nothing excites him as much as those words! He's my kind of dog! He's great with other dogs (not cats so much), but is a social dog that wants nothing more in life then to explore, sniff and play. He just turned 10 years old.

Beautiful lake view and plenty of fields. Water and power were available but I didn't need them. Very nice host.

I got so much done. My host greeted me and got me hooked up to water and electric. The house was empty and she offered laundry and a hot shower. It was the first time I have stopped 2 nites since I started. She was so nice and accommodating beyond. Wish her well in her travels.
