We are on a rural property. Your position will be tucked into the trees with privacy and a view into the woods (with access to 50amp). We have a second location (without electric access) more in the open. Be prepared to use blocking of 4-6". I have some blocks. $10/night is requested if using the electric service and/or water. Electric may require an extension beyond the standard 25' cord (maybe 40' total). Well trained pets are welcomed, on leash. Please clean up. We have a German Shepherd that gets along with other well socialized dogs, but make sure we are aware if you have an animal. Our neighbor has a boxer that comes to the fence to bark. It lasts for a few minutes and then she goes away. There are other farm animals around: pigs, chickens, turkeys, horses. The town of Travelers Rest has undergone a beautiful restoration. It has many eating opportunities and access to the Swamp Rabbit Trail (biking and walking) which goes all the way to downtown Greenville. There are also grocery opportunities and a Walmart about 12 minutes from home. Suggested Local Attractions:20 minutes to downtown Greenville, SC 10 minutes to downtown Travelers Rest, SC 50 minutes to Asheville, NC

House Rules
We enjoy children! No generators between 7pm and 9am. We WANT TO BE HOME when you arrive. I do work. Can text to coordinate. Prefer you depart prior to us going to work. We do have neighbors close enough to be disturbed. However, quietly sitting in lawn chairs is no problem. Keep your pet on a leash until we know our dog has "approved". :)
Location
Access Road Conditions: Our drive is almost 1000' of gravel road that is bumpy and goes over a hill. You can not see the home from the street. I navigate the drive with our 35' Class A motorhome. It will likely require a 3 or 4 point turn once on the property to face back out to the street. I do it every time we use our rig, but it is a little tight to turn around. We have a concrete culvert at the street that you will have to cross. For that reason, weight limit is 26k pounds. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: You will have to detach, you can park in several locations on the property close to your RV.

Family of 4 with teenage boys. Details: We have been RVing for about 10 years now. I'm a school teacher, so we travel primarily during the summer. We've had travel trailers and now a Class A. One of the treasures from our travels has been the people we have met along the way. As hosts, we are happy to give you privacy if you would like, but are also happy to chat, share stories of travel. Visit our YouTube channel @ Rolling Ragu to learn more about us and our travels. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCaO2jbxp2IGcnIxgwt75Ng?view_as=public Home Town: Travelers Rest, SC Favorite Boondocking Locations: We have boondocked on public lands locations. Our favorite area is the San Juan Mountains of Colorado! Skills or Expertise to Share: We've made many cross country trips and have visited 60-70 National Parks. We have also camped in our local area for a long time. We would enjoy sharing any knowledge we have gained that may help you. We are fairly handy and do almost all of our own repairs and maintenance. I'm no expert, but am willing to offer opinions, basic tools and a hand with repair if asked.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Traveler’s Rest. The highlight was the conversations with our host. As fellow campers we were able to share past experiences plus a lot of other common ground. We enjoyed a good night’s rest.

The hosts were incredibly welcoming and friendly. They have a number of places to park that are safe and quiet. We very much enjoyed our conversations with them and playing with their puppy. :)

We stayed 1 night during our travels south away from cold weather, host is fantastic, kind and the spot was quiet and easy to level. Slept like a log! Highly recommend!
