Location
Access Road Conditions: Paved road, right off the Trans Canada Highway. A bit bumpy, but it is in good condition. Hill for the first Kilometer, then levels off. Gravel driveway, curved, a bit challenging for backing in. Large rigs need to back in. Test your skills. Smaller rigs can drive in and turn around. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: We have room for a tow vehicle to be parked if needed.

Mike and Marie, easygoing, sociable, love to travel. Currently enjoying having the “world come to us” during our travel hiatus. Details: Retired, gardeners, herbalists, quilters. Mike gardens, chops wood, cooks maple syrup (in season), quilts, messes around with computers Home Town: Home base near Saint Stephen, New Brunswick Easternmost gateway between Atlantic Canada and the eastern Seaboard of the US. Favorite Boondocking Locations: We sometimes boondock at Walmarts for the convenience of replenishing Supplies, but boondocking with hosts is our favourite because it’s about making new friends all across Canada. Skills or Expertise to Share: Gardeners, Herbalists, computer geeks, like to cook. If you are having trouble with a knitting or crocheting project that you took with you on the road, Marie can give pointers (pardon the pun). We dabble in acrylics.

Mike and Maria were great host. Very accommodating. Driveway is challenging for big rigs but doable.

I stayed for 5 days. It was a fabulous rest stop after 10 weeks on the road. Peaceful and relaxing. You can walk for miles. Full hookups available. Mike & Marie Sweet and helpful. We even bumped into each other in Saint John and Mike helped me find a USB fan. Thanks!

This is a great place to stop before or after crossing the border between Maine and New Brunswick. Approach roads are a bit dicey, but that isn’t exclusive to this area by any means. Mike and Marie were very communicative before and during our stay. Mike (and Storm 🐶 and Ricky 🐱) met us on arrival and helped us get set up.

Mike and Marie are such gracious hosts. We had such a good time visiting with them. Their parking spot was level and they had water, electric and a dump station available. What a plus! We even picked blueberries out in their woods. A great stay.

We were greeted by Mike, who gave Wayne some tips for backing into the long curved driveway. Flat, level graveled parking beside the house. The 30 amp electric was easily accessible, as were water and dump, had we needed them. We enjoyed getting to know Mike and Marie in the short time we were there. Lovely folks! NOTE: DO heed Mike’s directions and take exit 13 off of Hwy 1. They are go directly to Windy Ridge and it is easy to find. Any other GPS directions may lead you down the garden path.
